Partnerships
Besides working with individual families, we have partnered with some existing programs and organizations so that we can help to alleviate some of the financial and emotions burdens a family may experience during treatment, recovery, and beyond (survivorship). Stay tuned as we grow! Here are some of the organizations we have worked with and been referred by:
-
Duke Children's Hospital, Pediatric Oncology Social Services and Child Life
-
Duke Children's Pediatric Transplant and Cellular Therapy Family Support Program
-
UNC Children's Hospital, Pediatric Oncology
-
To date, we have partnered with over 50 Individual families to help alleviate some of the financial and emotional burdens that come with this journey. Some of the ways we have partnered includes housing assistance, travel assistance and accommodations that focus on keeping the family unit together, car and insurance bills, utility bills, out of pocket medical bill assistance, caregiver support (including sleep kits that include air mattresses/white noise machine/sleep mask), meal/grocery assistance, specialty gifts such as collapsible wagons for help during hospital appointments or admissions, special gifts for siblings and patients such as PT equipment or various gifts that bring comfort and joy, and assistance with funeral and burial costs.
